Went to a fancy Italian restaurant yesterday on my business trip and spent $75 on my meal, plus a $15 tip. Never spent that much before, but the ambiance was beautiful and the food delish, so I don't care!
@Rachelilly23 boys names were so much easier for us. The only one we could agree on for a girl was the one we picked... I don't know what we will do if we have another girl hahaha
I really do not miss the constant spit up and crying! I will trade that any day for sitting in a highchair eating her real food and scooting around squealing with joy all day.
my confession: I don't miss the newborn stage AT ALL
I've enjoyed the 2nd 6 months of life so much more.
I completely agree, I had a really rough time during the newborn stage. The next time if I could go straight to 3 months I probably would. I laugh when I watch movies with newborns who are always sleeping contently and everyone looks well rested. It's all lies!

Our first few months were horrible until we figured out her MSPI situation... which didn't happen until she was 4 months old. Ugh. I feel horrible that it took us so long.
I am encouraging my parents to take their cat to the animal shelter. Technically it's my brother's cat that he won't take. They are trying to sell their house and the cat keeps pissing and pooping everywhere but the litter box. Vets say she is stressed out. The cat has always been mean and nasty, so I doubt she will ever find another home. But my poor mother is so stressed out, she went to work today and realized when she got there that the cat had pissed on her sweater.
I'm currently sitting in the glider in LO's room while he plays in his crib. He took a piddly 30 minute nap, I'm exhausted, so I'm taking a coffee break and bumping for a bit. He's perfectly content...MOTY over here.
oh come on! good mothering is not giving 24/7 entertainment to your child. That's actually BAD for him. You're teaching him to play independently in a safe, supervised environment and also taking care of you. That's a GOOD thing. You ARE MOTY!

DD woke up in the middle of me getting ready this morning, she just played in her crib for 10 minutes while I finished. I could have brought her in with me but she was content talking to the wall.
I kind of regret getting a dog a year before A was born. I feel like I only have enough time and attention to care for one living being. I thought about how much easier it would be if we didn't have the dog.
I'm not considering rehoming or anything. I just feel bad for even feeling like this.
we've had our dog for 6 years and still feel the same way. He just doesn't get as much attention as he used to. We're all still adjusting to that. We try to make a point to have "murphy days" where we focus more on him. this usually involves a trip to the groomer (which he loves)
I am enjoying this age, but sometimes I do miss my immobile seal pup.
Me too! Except I really like that we can go out to eat with Henry now because he's now interested in food...or spoons...and it keeps him busy and quiet while we eat.
