Abuse points

Ok so does anyone know just how many abuse points it takes to get banned? I just noticed that I have several all done by one special little sunflower. If we only have a certain amount I guess I'll have to tone it down until the snarkiness is really deserved.

How do you even give someone abuse points? Shouldn't someone monitor them to ensure abuse points aren't given out willy nilly? I mean what if I just don't like someone and I just keep giving APs until they are banned?

How lame is it that we can swear now but we are now monitored by every other bumpie? Something seems off...

Yeah, I got an abuse point for something that wasn't abuse. I only have 2 though, so I'm not too worried. In the other I as good as called the girl selfish, but she was talking about trying to induce her own labor early, so I feel justified.

I'll have to take a look and see what the rules say.

They are taken into consideration on a case by case basis....it isn't a 3 strikes you are out type of deal, so don't worry about one hater being out to get you.

I don't recognize her either. Some random driveby shouldn't be able to dish out abuse points and possibly get a regular active poster banned, especially when nothing I said was abusive.

There are badges for everything else under the sun... where's my abuse badge dammit?!

There are abuse points?! If someone needs to give those out maybe they need to get a life and get off the site. I mean come on. Liking someone's comment is one thing, but if you don't like it or don't agree just ignore it.

She's the same one who got me, at least for one of my points. I have no clue who she is, but it looks like she just came into the thread and handed out abuse points like candy. I prefer candy, honestly. The other was one of the AEs who was here the other day.

Yeah I think that might of happened a few times. Since this thread started I've gone from 6 to having 10. Eh well, L&R reassured me that I won't get banned over someone abusing the abuse button.

I have 3 abuse points but can only see where 2 things have flagged, each by 1 person so I don't know where the 3rd one came from.

I think if the person that flags you gets banned then the flag should disappear. This whole abuse thing is going to get out of hand.

I think if you're going to get an abuse point, you should at least be able to slap the person to make it worth it.

I have at least one, too, from probably the same special sunflower.

As far as I understand, it's reviewed on a case by case basis to see if you're getting a ton from someone who just doesn't like you or something.
