  • Last night i had the same painful contractions like the night before. I'll mention it to my OB this morning. 30 days until 35 weeks! QOTD: Usually Nature's Path cereal with almond milk and fresh blueberries. Sometimes oatmeal.

  • @StaceyMack - 30 days, no big deal -- you can hit that!  Sorry about the contractions.

Last night was okay after I quit being a huge baby. I took a Unisom and fell asleep. DH didn't wake up to his alarm and our 2 year old came in and woke us up, thankfully.  Talk about a hectic morning!

I want to go back to bed, but my grand parents are going to come over "sometime in the morning" and usually that means like 9am, but I know if I stay up they will show up at like 11.

QOTD: This morning? Yogurt, Watermelon, and a piece of peanut butter toast.  Usually I have left overs though. ha.

  • Good morning. I hope every one had a restful night.

24w3d. Procardia seems to have calmed everything down. I had 1 - 3 contractions an hour without pain now. I think they were at 10 an hour before. No cerclage or pessary for me due to length and the weight of the twins. I keep asking. Waiting for a repeat cervix u/s to find out if it has held steady. Last night's FFN test was negative. I may go home today!

QOTW: boiled eggs, peanut butter toast, or cereal. I need to add a smoothie since I am not gaining weight.

  • My night was ok, but my roommates IV kept going nuts all night. They said they were going to move me to a private room sometime today, so hopefully that will happen.
QOTD: I have been eating scrambled eggs, or a ham and cheese omelet, today with a muffin and juice, yesterday with toast and juice. I still have to watch my sugars, which stinks because the french toast is actually pretty good here, but the sugar free syrup tastes weird, so I'm trying to avoid getting it too much.

Stacey: Yay, you can make it!
Wallace: So glad to hear your partner was able to come home and that the contractions have slowed down!
Ilovetolaugh: I hope you get more sleep before your grandparents come over!

  • I slept pretty great! Despite all my crazy dreams and going to the bathroom. I was able to go back to sleep quickly, and that qualifies as a good night to me.

I'm looking forward to my husband being home for the weekend. It is nice not to be here alone.

QOTD: I usually have cereal and a protein shake. Sometimes waffles.

  • :) last night my usual. I slept from 10:30pm-2:00am wide awake till 6:30am then nap till 11:00am. I am hoping no more naps till tonight so I can try and sleep through the night. Yesterday as some of you know I took the news of my cervix very bad. I had a head ache from crying so much. It's hard to really think positive then you've had a second trimester loss. After speaking to some of you ladies and reading your stories I felt some what at ease. I really tend to look at the negatives first instead of the positives which are. My cervix is still above 2cm, I am past my 21wk loss milestone, I have a preventive cerclage in place and taking 17p. I have a good system going on. I have taken my bed rest a lot more strict. No more quick kitchen runs or 10 min sit downs until I reach a solid happy zone which I am pushing 28wks. I keep my behind laying on my side all day and occasionally on my back. I have to remember to tell dr when I lay on my back I get tightness. Other then that it seems like weather is beautiful here in NYC. Can't wait for summer to end :-) qotd: today I have peanut butter and jelly on wheat.. My breakfast selectone is usually boring because hubby leaves at 6am and prepares me a quick fix.
  • Wallace! That's great news!!   I feel like it's "normal" to have contractions here and there on procardia, at least with the ladies on this board.  So glad you guys are home, prayers!!

  • Night was pretty uneventful. It was only my 2nd night on bedrest so still getting used to the idea. I usually have cereal, bagels or a breakfast bar.
  • Wallace, glad she's home and stable! 10-4, I hope things stay stable and you get to go home! Thanks for all the support, ladies! Kneenah, you got it! Count down together. Keep your head up because you're doing great! Jnetx, I told everyone, parents included, to leave their drama at the door! My mom is the worst at bringing up negative conversation. I also told her to stop coming if she kind find anything positive to say. Gsk, hang in there! I shouldn't have asked that question. Now, I want waffles!

  • I had a rough night. My tooth extraction was giving me some pain and I had some really crazy dreams. Our nanny is working out wonderfully. She's already doing all of the normal child care and house work but has also offered to run errands and go grocery shopping for me. I'm really starting to feel like a slacker being waited on all day. Next week she's going to help me start making freezer meals. I started a new crochet project to keep me from going stir crazy. Other than that, I'm taking it day by day. Made it to 29 weeks today and put one week of bed rest behind me. QOTD: Raisin Nut Bran or oatmeal with a cup of decaf and a glass of OJ.

  • Crappity crap crap crap

No change in cervix. Looking at btwn 1.2 and 1.7. It was 2.7 last week. Since I am only at 24 weeks, they want to keep me for at least another week. They did give me the option of going home but really said they were leaning towards keeping me. I am so worried already that I don't think my nerves can handle being on my own.

  • 10-4, I'm sorry about your cervical length. I have read about many ladies here who had or have been in that situation and are/were able to go several weeks with it holding steady. Do you have anyone close by that can help you should you be able to go home?

  • 10-4 you have us! Vent, talk whatever you need to!
I hope everyone is doing well! Still sending all my positive vibes to everyone and their LOs. I feel like I are a pattern and majority of us are having girls! I hope this is no prediction of their teenage years! We better watch ladies!

I know the feeling of being angry at your cervix. Hang in there. Since my cervical measurements i have been obsessed with reading success stories and there are tonnnnssss with shorter cervix that have made it to term.. :) I cant remember but do you have a cerclage?
  • Thanks ladies.

They moved me to an antepartum room. Since I cannot feel my contractions, my husband and I, as well as my doctors, worried about anything progressing at home and me being totally oblivious. In fact, I had a contraction while talking to my husband just now and he pointed at the monitor. No idea.

I do not have a cerclage. My MFM does not do them for multiples. I asked about a pessary but they think it would irritate more than help.

Luckily, my in laws live in town and have been helping with my stepdaughter who lives with us. My hubby has been great at keeping our house running. My sister and parents are also here and have been bringing me stuff.

I've also been reading lots of success stories and drawing strength from them. Just trying to take it one day at a time and celebrating milestones.
