This week DH has been mandated for a ton of overtime and we've had a lot of appointments and to do's this week. He's been helping out a ton with the chores around the house and making breakfast every morning so I can take a few minutes every morning and relax. I'll keep him this week :)

My husband is literally the best man in the world... Even before I was pregnant I had no complaints but he has been a prince since we found out (on fathers day so perfect) I just adore him! I can't wait for him to come home every day. I guess just wanted to say he is such a blessing
  • Normally I'm not a husband-praiser... but he took me to Chipotle for lunch and told me not to leave bed all weekend (he's going out of town). I guess I don't give him enough credit.

  • I got a random foot rub while watching TV the other night.  That made up for his smashing absolutely every name I've suggested.

  • I was getting sick after dinner the other night and my DH was trying to help me. All I really wanted him to do was leave me alone. I didn't want him to see that! Anyways, he was holding my hair and patting my back one second and the next he was gone. I heard him call out from the bedroom, "I'm sorry baby, I just couldn't handle it!" Haha! I told him I didn't expect him to help me throw up anymore. Bless his heart! He feels so bad for me when I'm sick!

  • I am moving classrooms this school year. He has spent his last two off days helping me move and clean out. He also has cooked supper several times this week and told me he was on toddler duty this weekend!

Mine's unfortunately on the other side right now. :/ I LOVE the name Odafin and before you say anything YES that is IceT's character name on Law & Order: SVU. But I've heard than Fin is becoming a popular boys' name, so it's not too off the wall. DH shot it down completely. I asked if he would at least sit on it and reconsider. He said he could sit on it all he wants, he's not changing his mind. His idea instead? Landon, as in the famous USA soccer player. Why? A: because he has a slightly less than appropriate crush on the guy, and B: because we could refer to baby as "Lando" for short. Yes, as in the character from Star Wars. I mean, don't get me wrong, I knew I was marrying a geek. But COME. ON.

Sorry your husband isn't compromising on the name :(! Maybe he'll change his mind, and if he doesn't...at least you have plenty of time before the baby comes to chose a name. And in regards to the geek thing, my husband and I agreed to name our son Alexander, I loved the name personally, my husband loved the name because he can call him "lex" why? Because my husbands favorite character in superman is Lex Luther..the bald evil genius.

Mine would TOTALLY name the baby Messi, if I'd let him. Good grief...

DH forgot he had work commitments that prevented him from coming to our geneticist appointment this morning. The appointment I booked based on his schedule. At the hospital close to his work (and 30 mins from our house). That we booked because we had found out that I was a CF carrier. I know it's not THAT big of a deal, but I was still pretty annoyed.

That would piss me off too! Men can't help it, they have no concept of time...unless of course it's when the (insert NFL/MLB/NHL/NBA team here) then they have a great grasp on timing and how to get to the store and back in 15 minutes for kick off.

DH loves when I am pregnant because I never want to eat the same thing as him and if I do I don't feel like cooking. So he makes an entire box of Kraft macaroni and cheese for me and then makes his own ridiculously healthy, Paleo taste free dinners. He also wakes up at 6:00 and gets to the gym or Crossfit before DD and I wake up.

I am just bitter because he's walking around the beach with a sixpack and I am already wearing a maternity bathing suit. Why can't he just gain sympathy weight like other husbands???
Maybe it's the pregnancy talking but Mac and Cheese completely trumps a paleo diet. Carbs are so delicious! Just make super annoying noises while eating your carbs...like "mmmmm so good, too bad your missing out."

  • DH is riding high on the good hubby wagon this week. With all of the bathroom visits I've been making, I got a wild hair that I needed a new toilet this past Sunday. To save $$ I figured we could install it, big mistake. Everything that could have gone wrong did. We said we'd pause the project and pick it up on Monday after cooler heads prevailed.
I come back from work on Monday and DH had his plumber friend come over, install the toilet with all new fixtures and secure our wobbly kitchen faucet. He said it was much easier to call in a favor than to see me so sad.

Oh no, he is a freak. He prefers to eat healthy. Like a plain grilled chicken breast and steamed veggies would be his last meal of choice. He hates when I cook cause I use butter and like everything with a sauce on it. I always have a starchy side too. You'd think I was trying to kill him when I put my garlic mashed potatoes on his plate.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I wish had that kind of healthy eating drive. Garlic mashed potatoes sound amazing now by the way!

  • Last night I was reading an article in Time about Angelina Jolie. I mentioned to my husband the fact that the article called her the most beautiful woman in the world, which I thought was interesting. His response was, "hmmm, I dunno, I think you're up there". He never says mushy stuff like that, and I thought it was really sweet of him.

We are naming this baby Landon if its a boy because my hubby is a huge soccer freak also!!!

My dh is a truck driver and is out of town three nights every week. He delivers for Sysco, which is restaurant food and supplies so he has to unload his truck by hand with a two-wheeler every day. He also works a couple of other days a week, just is able to be home those nights. So he's always up by 2 am. He comes home exhausted and hungry but won't hesitate if I ask him to rub my feet and then quiets down the seven kids so I can take a nap. (Yes, I am a SAHM and my overworked dh still let's ME take naps!) he knows first tri is really hard on me and is great about it. Oh and while out of town last week he bought me an amazingly cute maternity dress and told me "we are going on a date and I want you to wear this!" It was awesome. Oh he got me a cute maternity shirt too!

    That's such a sweet husband!

Well have no fear..let the bashing begin!! Okay I'll be nice first. My BF's been rubbing my feet and letting me take over the bed at night bc he knows I'm having trouble sleeping and he doesn't give me crap about being gassy...which he normally would. Sooo with that said. He's such a jerk! He has NO sympathy for me. Told me I'm 'milking it' and tells me to suck it up. I wish he could be in my place for one day! I'm gassy, constipated, nauseous, everyone irritates me, and I cry over EVERYTHING. I wish he could feel it just for one day so he'd get that I'm not over exaggerating. He's not a very sympathetic person to begin with, and I knew that, but this is HIS baby making me this crazy! And to top it off, unfortunately he is unemployed at the moment, which means he's home all day being bored doing whatever it is that he does, so that on my days off he wants to go out and do stuff and I really do not want to! I'm on my feet for 9+ hours a day as a bartender and on my days off now, I want to sleep and not deal with people. Maybe I am being a baby about it, but I wish he could be a little more understanding to just how tired I am!

  • Yesterday I let DH convince me to go to Jets training camp with DS. I'm glad he had a good time watching practice because I spent and hour and a half chasing DS around and picking him. oh and it was like 83 degrees. I told him he owes me big!

He's normally really good about stuff but lately he doesn't get how exhausted I am.

Actually he's been ok for the past couple of days. I just find him so irritating when I'm pregnant (especially first trimester).  I don't want to list everything since I'm not annoyed with him currently and don't want to become annoyed haha.

My sister has three boys and we haven't been able to babysit them in about a year because her middle child was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes and they hadn't had time to train us on what we needed to do. So we were finally trained and ready to babysit and my DH was just awesome! He ended up giving all of the finger pokes and shots (even though he is quite squeamish about needles...he has never even donated blood before) because my nephew said "I want Uncle J to do it!" He also gave countless airplane rides around the house. I was tired just watching it! He's going to be such a great dad :)
