Wow! What kind of cake? Are you going to let him do a smash cake?
Of course! We just got a sheet cake for everyone. Our bakery actually offered a cupcake, decorated like a tiny cake (iced all around) with a 1 one it for his smash cake. He's funny about texture, and will only touch foods that are wet/sticky with one finger (we call him Mr. Monk, LOl) so I'm not sure he'll actually smash it.

It does go fast, but the second year is so fun too! DS didn't really smash his cake but it was still fun. Everyone cheered him on when he finally got a taste in his mouth.
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2 After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!

Mine is the same way. She freaked out when she touched the icing because it was too sticky. Our homemade cake smash session has only pictures of her crying and trying to get the icing off. On her birthday she just pushed the cake away off her highchair and put her icing covered fingers in DH's mouth. Hope things go better for your little one and hope you have an amazing day celebrating the 1st birthday. It is really a special feeling to think back over the past year. And trust me it doesn't slow down:(
after 2+ years, 3 failed IUIs, 2 failed IVFs with a c/p IVF#3 brought us our miracle baby girl on June 26, 2012

Cute! That is exactly like our son. We had to just take his hand and smash it in his little cake for him. Then he cried and we had to give him a bath in the middle of his party! Post pics. Love cake smashes

That's kinda funny.
DS licked off all the frosting and then ate his litte cupcake. No smashing and hardly any mess.
