AW: Survived the first 3 months (PIP)

My girls are 3 months old today! It has been HARD and I've felt like a total failure most of the time.

This morning I found myself doing my usual tap dance of nursing one baby while rocking the other's RnP with my toe, with thoughts like,"They will be outgrowing these RnPs soon," and "how will my mom handle them on her own when I go back to work in September?" running through my head.  

Then I remembered a saying I learned on this board: "Don't borrow tomorrow's trouble today." I decided instead of worrying, today I would focus on what we've accomplished so far: we created two miracles, I carried them to 38 weeks and delivered them safely, I stuck with BFing despite our ongoing challenges and 3 months in we're feeding them more than 90% breast milk, they are thriving and on track with their development milestones. 

So tonight DH and I are having a glass of bubbly to celebrate surviving the first 3 months. Here are pics from this morning (Edit: links to tinypic deleted)

    Amazing post! I'm at the one month mark and having "one of those days". It's great to see your smiling babies and hear your successes.

    Congrats!!!! Love your positive thinking, it's the only way to go!!! Here's to another fabulous 3 more months. It's amazing to watch them grow and accomplish SO much in just a little time!

    Congrats....sounds like you're right on track! I have a little plaque that says "If you're handed it you can handle it"   Sometimes I wanted to throw it in the garbage but it really is true :) One day at a time....enjoy celebrating!

    haha, I like your quote too. But yes, some days I would probably want to throw it away too.

    I LOVE this post! Congrats! It only gets more fun from here. The first three months are freaking HARD -- and absolutely deserve some bubbly!
    TTC Since 11/10 due to Unexplained IF 
    4 Rounds of Clomid, 2 Rounds of Femara + IUI, 2 rounds of IUI+ Injectables (Bravelle + Menopur) = First BFP! TWIN GIRLS!

    I think back all the time to the first 3 months and wonder how I made it. You deserve to celebrate! I absolutely loved 5 months and love 6 months even more. Many more good days are coming!

    Thank you. I needed this today because today has not been a good day. At least I had yesterday!
