VENT-Friable Cervix ...tmi

Okay, at 6 and 8 weeks I had issues with SCH, during which time i was on pelvic and mod bed rest. They cleared up.I had one good week then bleeding started again. The couldn't figure it out, baby has been great the entire time a d I was put on complete bed rest. Now we know it is because I have an extremely friable cervix and I have been put on pelvic rest indefinitely at this point. That means its been like 10 weeks and DH and I scratching at the walls. During the one week break I was still on rest because you have to have 7 days of no bleeding before resu,Ing activity as usual. We are both happy to do anything for this LO we so desperately wanted but man I was not expecting kids to destroy your sex life before they got here. Sorry, vent over. I know there is not much that can be done or said. Just needed to rant. Edit: On mobile sorry for spelling issues.

    I know what you mean! I am 14w3d and have been on pelvic rest since about 6w bc of a SCH. DH and I haven't had sex since a week after we conceived bc I have been so sick and it is very likely that we will not be allowed to have sex at all this pregnancy, plus the 6w after... I know it seems selfish, but I'm pretty frustrated about it. Obviously my #1 priority is baby, but this is the last time DH and I will have alone, and everyone was telling me to make sure to have plenty of sex, especially in the second tri, where I'll actually want to. Looks like we'll be missing out on nookie for a while...

    We basically haven't had sex since my BFP because of my irritable cervix and a polyp. I'm on prelvic rest for the rest of this pregnancy. All I can think about is sex. This blows (pun intended).

    i'm in the same boat. pelvic rest at least until my 20wk u/s.
    DH is being a good sport about it, but I feel really bad. I am normally a very affectionate person, but for some reason (well it was nausea in the beginning and a strong sense of smell) that I now have an aversion to hugging, cuddling etc. I squirm when DH puts his head on my belly. I think I'm in overprotective mode.

    I wish I wanted it... luckily pelvic rest is giving me an excuse.  WTH is wrong with me?  Poor DH...

    OMG! I am so grateful to hear that you ladies are going through the same thing. I wish I wasn't craving it but it is ALL I can think about. My DH is super sweet but he is going crazy too. Like you ladies said, anything for the baby, but man. Hope all of your babies are happy and healthy even though momma is not.

    It depends on the reason that you are on pelvic rest but in most case it includes orgasm as a no no.

    This. Orgasms can cause an already irritable uterus to contract.
