Vaccine Day

Tried to post this earlier...

So today is the day. My LO has his two month appointment at 11:30 this morning (east coast) and here I am up and anxious at 3am about his shots... Getting some pumping in to, to pass the time :

Just wanted to get it out. I know im being a nervous nelly! Its not going to be so bad right ..?? I'm planning on nursing right away, giving a tubby when we get home and having Tylenol on the ready. Any other tips or suggestions are so welcome! TIA

From another board I think i remember that there are a few others going through this today with their LOs.

Good luck to all!

Re: Vaccine Day

  • Aww, hang in there momma. It's never easy to see our babies in pain. The good thing is, the younger they are, the quicker it's over and they don't remember it!  I thought my heart would break when I took DD1 for all of her shots through 18 months...but as she's gotten older, it's gotten much more heartbreaking! Our parents meant it when they said "this will hurt me more than it's going to hurt you!" We worry about it before, are in tears during it right along with them, and then think about it for days/weeks/months/years! afterward!

LO will be just fine. Nursing, bath, and tylenol on hand if needed, sounds like a great plan! Good luck!!

  • I was anxious too. But my guy barely cried at all. It was a lot easier than I expected. Don't worry, all will be okay. You seem more than prepared. :)

  • Thank you all for the mental support. It means a lot!! Little man took it like a champ. We went straight to boobie and all was well. Back at home now and he is asleep on my chest. Love him so much, such a brave little dude::mobile smiley::
