Hi Ladies! I'm on my second go around, first was an awesome birth center water birth and I'm thinking I want to be at home this time, still need to get DH off the fence. Anyway, I'm looking into different options for labor tubs and was wondering if anyone has any insight.
Looks like I can rent a tub for 30 days from a local doula. It's an AquaDoula with the heater, liner, thermometer and all that jazz for $200
Or, I could buy a LaBassine from yourwaterbirth.com with a pump, hose etc. (The basics) for the same price. Would need to buy a liner.
We are thinking of having one more after this, and so far have had awesome low risk pregnancies so if we were to buy, it could potentially be used twice.
What do you think? Also, any tips for getting DH off the fence would be great! He's worried since we're renting a townhouse that there might be stains or the neighbors would freak.
Re: Home water birth - rent or buy tub?
