Baby boy won't sleep!

My LO won't sleep. Yesterday his longest nap was 20 minutes and he didn't sleep from 4:30 until 9 last night.

He is starting the day off tired and its 9:15 and he has only slept 5 minutes since 6:45 this morning.

How can I help him sleep? He's sooo tired! What can I do to help him?

    He absolutely hates his car seat so that doesn't work. He won't let me rock him to sleep. He just wiggles and cries and buries his face is my chest.

    I finally got him to sleep with a bottle which I never do but he only slept for 5 minutes. I stood up and bounced him and as soon as I tried to lay him down he was awake again.

    I've tried holding him once I get him to sleep but he just wakes right up a few minutes later. I just can't figure out what to do.

    On days like that I hold her in my arms until she naps and then I keep her there the entire time. I watch tv during that time. I find she sleeps longer then and then she usually gets back on track for the day after that.
