A week ago, July 18th I delivered my son due to placenta abruption. It is the worst thing I've ever experience. I am heartbroken and I miss him so much. We were able to hold him and it just seems so unfair he was alive and well up until birth until he wasn't unable to survive. Tomorrow we are having a small service for him, just immediate family, and we will get to say goodbye and have a blessing over him. I also have an almost one year old daughter, in which I had a perfect pregnancy and birth. She's helped more than she'll ever know get me through this past week. I just never thought I'd be planning my one year olds birthday party and a memorial service for my son in the same week.
Just looking for some extra support especially if you've experienced the placenta abruption. Although that is was my Doctors are leaning towards, its not 100% clear until all the labs come back.
If you've had placenta abruption...how has your recovery been physically? Did your Doctors tell you to wait long before getting pregnant again? Have you experience more than one pregnancy ending in placenta abruption? TIA

Thinking of you and your family - I can only imagine how difficult to play a celebration and a memorial at the same time... Hugs!
Recovery was normal - bled for a couple of weeks and was cleared to try again after a mandatory 90-day break due to a shot I'd gotten at the hospital. I am at a higher risk for another abruption - my OB said about a 10 percent chance - but that's very rare to have two.
I wish you peace and send lots of hugs.
I am so very sorry for your loss of your son. I did not have a placental abruption, but I completely understand your pain. I lost my daughter to a cord accident on April 17. We are never prepared for something as devastating as this. And we think we love these babies... but we truly have no idea how much until we lose them.
This is a great community of supportive women. You've found a good place. Hugs to you!

I am so sorry for the loss of your son. ((hugs)) My loss was not due to placental abruption but I lost my daughter at 19 weeks with absolutely no cause identified. Her heart just stopped.
You're in a really good place for support, although I wish I did not have to welcome you here.
