I am car shopping and looking at 2 cars with 3rd row. One the guy told me has a sensor so that if a car seat is in the 2nd row you can slide the seat forward anyway for 3rd row access, it just knows that it can't fold forward. The other car the guy told me if the seats were attached w/ LATCH you couldn't slide the seat forward but iwth a non-LATCH attached seat you could. I have no idea when LATCH ends? We are still in convertible seats but anticipate moving to a 5 point booster type thing probably within the year. Thanks!
I think our owners manual for our 5pt harness booster (Graco Nautilus) says we cannot use LATCH once the child weighs more than 45lbs. I don't know if that is standard across the board, or if it varies by car seat brand.
