I actually don't mind it. It works for them. They can't really choose something super trendy. George is a good classic name.

haha. one of my friends sons is named Braxton. it actually works for her sibset.
    Sorry, but I disagree.
I can't think of a case where Braxton would ever be ok. I also don't get "sibsets." It's not like your name is considered among siblings when you're an adult...

Agreed! Prince Braxton made me laugh (and shudder). Not a huge fan of George, but I think they did pretty well.

I was going to say George is an old person name, but then I remembered I named my baby Hazel which is too!
I love old people and their names.

I can't speak for Dix, but I don't understand why sibling names need to flow together.  This is something that some people obsess about, and it doesn't make sense to me.  If you pick names you like, and they don't happen to 'flow together', it seems silly to NOT use the name(s) you like just to get a better sibset.

We liked Rowan for DS2, and we originally wanted all Irish names for our kids... But Logan and Rowan when I'm signing our names on cards? Couldn't do it. Mostly because they're too similar, but in that case "sibset" kind of mattered, right?

  • i dislike george...too old for me but i can see why they had to choose a name like that.

  • I like the name, for British royalty. I'm not a big fan of Louis but that's one of prince Williams names so I'm guessing that's why they used it?

i only care about sibsets if they rhyme. I will totally give you a side eye if your kids are Kerry and Terry or Gwen and Ben etc. it's seems contrived to be cutesy even if it was innocent happenstance.
