I just found out I am having a little girl and am leaning towards Danabelle Marie for a name but I'm getting alot of mixed reviews. Any opinions? (you won't hurt my feelings)
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
Yeah I'm not into Danabelle....it's almost like you put D and then rethunk and put Anabelle but forgot to cross off the D. Like Sugar I'm not a fan of made up names. There's loads of lovely D names; Danielle, Dani, Danica etc etc (just google "girls names with D").
Thank you all for your opinions. There is a thing with D names in my family. Almost my entire family have D names so I am trying to keep the tradition going but I want something different. I don't know. Luckily I have till January to figure it out
Don't post this on the baby names board. They tend to explode for made-up names. And I'm with them actually. There are tons of beautiful D names. Just in my extended family we have Diana, Dina, Denise, Danae and Danielle (first or middle names). I'm partial to Danika and in Russia Daria/Darya is very trending right now.
I agree with all the PP's, Danabelle sounds like a typo or a made up name which I personally am not a fan of. I love all of the other D name suggestions above!
I am not a huge fan of Danabelle, but it's not my choice. Some D names I do like are:
Delaney, Davonney, and Desiree

There's nothing wrong with being different. It appears that a lot of people on this board love traditional names and while there's nothing wrong with that, a little variety is good.
Lol, this post has just made me realize that we won't be using any D names.....whilst there's nothing wrong with any of them, none of them strike my fancy! 1 alphabet letter down, 24 to go!
I really don't like Danabelle. It's made up and she will spend her whole life either explaining that you were trying to be unique, or correcting people.

Deseree! lol, that's my name, and only have ever met 2 others in my life. Could just be where I live though. But seriously, I don't get why people are hating on Danabelle. I think it is lovely! I do like Danica too though. I am partial to D names ; ) Although I have yet to choose a D name for my children : /
I like Deanna but I also like Danabelle! I've been trying to think of how to work Dana into a girl's name because that was my great grandmother's nickname.
Re: Baby girl name that starts with a D
Danielle is also a nice option, nn Elle or Dani

Funny: you could do "Delori Ann" ( say it out loud and quick, heehee)
