The "normal" for kids to transition to one nap is around 15 months, right? So, how much sleep per day do 1 year olds actually need? DS was sleeping maybe 9 or 10 hours at night plus 2 two hour naps during the day. His naps have been seriously inconsistent for over a week now. 45 mins here, 2 and a half hours there, skipping afternoon naps, pushing back naps two hors later than normal. Teething can't be the only cause. DS is sleeping 11 hours or more at night now. This is recent. Is anyone having these weird sleep pattern changes that make you think LO is dropping down to one nap a day? Some days I think he can make it with only one then he takes a late afternoon nap that lasts for 2 hours. Some days he does fine with only one nap. I'm so confused.
Re: Naps
Yesterday she took 1 nap in target for an hour from 9:30-10:30 then was awake until 7pm.
I'm just going with the flow until he seems noticably ready for one nap.
Is W cranky or happy when he had his short naps? R, oddly, is normally happy.
Sometimes it hard to tell the difference between tired cranky and his normal crankiness, though. Lol.
