10 weeks pregnant with baby 2

So our little man is 7 1/2 months old and I'm now 10 weeks pregnant. I know there are others out there like me...it would just be so nice to hear from you and any advice you have! I've had a lot more morning sickness this pregnancy than last time. Thankfully our baby is very good and easy, but it's still hard caring for your family feeling like this!
Any advice?

My first 2 are 15 month a apart (I think DS was 8 months old when I was 4 weeks pregnant).  Anyways, don't let people freak you out- it wasn't hard at all.  I love having them close together- you're still in the swing of things.  I never had morning sickness in any of my pregnancies so I can't help you there.  Perhaps look into ginger root.  My older kids are now 3 & 4 (boy and girl) and are still SUPER close!  I love that they are so close in age.  I don't like that there is a 2 1/2 year age gap between child 2 & 3 but that was the soonest our baby would come.

  • Dnt worry! I have a 19month old bby grl and 6month old baby boy! She loves her baby brother!! at first she was jealous when he was born only lasted a week then she fell in Love!! But you will need more help of course but you can do it its really not hard!! You will be less freaked over any little thing as a ftm would be! I was scared at first but now im a pro us mommas just adapt we are super woman!! :)
  • Congrats.  The nausea really sucks.  I had it so bad, too.  The one thing that really helped was ginger candies and chews.  Hope you get some relief.
  • My two are 15 1/2 months apart.  It's great so far.  Hard, but worth it.  You'll be okay!

  • Our DD will be 7 mo. in a couple of days and I just finished my first trimester.  We also have a 6 yr old.  It took us that long to conceive between our girls (many months using fertility treatments).  So we were shocked when I got a BFP when our LO was 3 mo old!!  We are just taking it one day at a time right now.  It is super hard to take care of a family, house, dogs, etc. when you feel crappy.  Luckily I have great support from my DH!  So that's my only advice - lean on your SO if you can?!
  • Thank you everyone for your support and advice! Really it's so wonderful knowing other women who have 7 month olds and are pregnant. I'm starting to feel a lottle better, so that's good :

My DS and DD are 16 months apart.  It can be tough some days but soooo worth it!  Having them close in age is already fun and I love seeing DS love on his baby sister.  My youngest is a really hard baby so that makes it a little harder but even if she was only child she wouldn't be easy.  Congrats to you!!!

Oh and I also had morning sickness.  I sipped on ginger ale all day long.

Wow, we are living parallel lives!  All of this for me, too.  My #2 was the worlds easiest baby, so going from 1-2 was not too bad, even though they were close.  Add #3 in there, and that was a bit rough for me anyway.  Having them close was in many ways great - they go through lots of things for the first time together.  My DS (#1) is very timid and shy, and because #2 is more outgoing and a bit of dare devil, he tries much more than he ever would because he sees her doing it.  They are best friends as well.  Having #2 being 2.5 years younger is a bit harder - she has no schedule since we are running off to her brother and sister's activities all the time.  She doesn't seem to mind though!

Congrats! I am hoping to start trying for #2 myself soon. I was very sick with LO myself, so I know how awful it is. Ginger Ale or Sprite sometimes helped me, so maybe try that.
  • Congratulations!

I don't have any advice on having to LO's that close in age but as a mother of two, just take it one day at a time.
