pp bleeding question

I had my c-section three and a half weeks ago now and I am having bleeding problems. Last Friday I noticed an increase in my bleeding, but that's not saying much as it had been pretty light starting few days after my c-section. Along with getting more heavy it was also bright red, it was not at the level they say to call at so I just kept an eye on it. It continued over the weekend and on Monday I starting having small clots for the first time since having my baby, again not to a bad level. But around 5am yesterday blood started gushing out, then stopped and then did it again a while later. So I filled my pad well within the hour they say to call at. Then it all stopped so I decided I would just call my Dr when they opened at 9. But then at 7am I had 3 large blood clots, like 4in each and more smaller ones. My Dr had me come in and she did an internal and push on my stomach/uterus a lot. She was happy with what she saw and said to just call right away if it happened again but that hopfully it was just those clots I needed to pass. She told me it was okay if I passed one large clot by its self as long as it was not too big and my bleeding did not pick up again. So I did pass one more large clot today, but I am trying not too worry about it. And my bleeding it still bright red, but not that heavy really.. Anyways I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen? I am so hoping this is it and there won't be anymore. I am worried I have a piece of placenta still in me, my placenta did grow into my uterus so I guess I am worried it grew into something else they did not notice.

    My c section was 4 weeks ago tomorrow and I've almost stopped bleeding completely. I can wear one panty liner all day and just have a drop or two. This was also my 3rd c section. I had lots of small clots last week and noticed the more I moved around the more I bled.

    I was going to post something like this but didn't. I am 2 and a half weeks pop and I started bleeding again. I figured I am just doing too much. Mine isn't filling a pad though. So I am just taking it easy

    I had two scary large gushes of blood last Friday after not bleeding for a few days. I was told it was normal. It sure didn't feel that way! Hopefully everything calms down for you.

    I'm sorry you are having so much worrisome bleeding. I had my c/s 2 wks ago. I was mostly just spotting, although I would have some heavier flow on days I had to go out to apts etc and was really moving around or walking a lot. The last two days though I have just been gushing. I hadn't thought to time how quickly I fill up a pad though.
    I hope those clots were the last of it for you.
