I know this is a new 'trend' for the most part. I have always had a prepper mindset. When I think back as a kid and always wanted my own house, I picture myself growing my own garden, hunting my own food, and having an underground bunker as well. Also, being hip... not the hippy type of prepper. (Not that there is anything bad with that).
Now that I own my own house and have a large land, I am going to make a real deep cellar. I still want to build an underground bunker. I have lots of guns/swords/knives. (Don't worry, they are in bank grade vaults.) Not much bullets since the whole bullet/gun thing that happened after Sandy Hook. I have a boxs of MREs.
I am going to start a garden next year, an aquaponics system. We hunt too, so we will have some meat from the wild. I am not 100% used to it and I STILL see eating squirrels as disgusting, but my husband loves it. I hate frogs too... but my husband loves all of that stuff.
I am in the beginning stages of prepping though, besides weapons and the know how to hunt, I need everything still.
If you prep, or are planning to, what do you have thus far, or are you going to have?

Funny that you say that...
Eta.. Squirrels are delicious!! Only in WV? ..mobile smiley..
That is awesome! I am thinking about canning dry things, maybe even make jam sometime when the garden grows. I don't have a bug out bag yet, it is something I am going to get soon though. Also, we did buy the things to reload and we went to the range to pick up shells, but apparently most of them are too bad to use, sucks cause I was at the range scrounging for hours lol.
I told my husband I can live the remainder of my life in WV with him, I will never see squirrels or frogs as food.. I can't, they have always been classified as diseased rodents in big cities, but I get that WV squirrels are way different than Cali city squirrels because they eat nuts and healthy stuff, while in Cali they rummage through trash. Frogs.. they are slimy.. I just can't. I am high maintenance like that. ;D
Zombie Apocolypse? I knew it!

Lol, that and before I got pregnant, I was doing the paperwork and preparing my body to try and pass PFT for the Marines so I could possibly join ROTC or the OCS program. I still will try next year or the year after. At least for the OCS program, I am too old now for ROTC.
