I am waiting for a call from the hospital to set up a plan for what comes next but ant thoughts on what to do until then, I feel like I am stressed out over everything I out in my mouth. I only failed one reading so its not gd. Of course I am cutting out juice/ sodas but otherwise should I eat normally - just a little mire thoughtful until I meet with a dr or nutritionist?
Re: Failed 3hour. Now what?
There have been a ton of posts about this if you scroll back some. I don't know how to make clicky in here.
Basically watch your carbs and try to eat as many whole grain carbs as possible instead of white carbs. Limit your white bread, sugar, etc. No juice or regular soda. Try to pair proteins with carbs. Amjoy has a lot of good info in previous posts
If you only failed one of the sugars during your 3 hour, you don't get a GD diagnosis, necessarily. You will be informed to cut back on refined/simple sugars....basically, stuff you shouldn't be eating anyway, like cookies, sugary sodas, juice, cakes, ice cream, etc. You should eat more lean proteins, veggies, fruits and whole wheat products. Although every doctor is different. You can count of this as your guide until you see someone.
And thank you Jenn for the nod
