Flying trip from hell....Finally home.....

Finally made it home at 2:30 this morning. I was supposed to land at Laguardia at 6:22. Airport was closed because of Southwest plane that had crash landing, flight delayed, delayed, delayed and then finally diverted to JFK. Took off at 9:45 last night. To add insult to injury, had 45 minutes of "avoiding weather" delays in air. Didn't land in JFK till 1:00 AM this morning.

In the disaster of it all, I scrambled to try to get us on any earlier flight going to JFK. I was able to get us on standby on another flight to JFK that left at 8:00. Jet Blue captain Mark Accomazzo of Flight 302 to JFK you are going to be very sad that you refused to wait 3 minutes to give me a chance to get my mom's wheelchair over to your gate so we could fly home standby on your flight to JFK while our original flight to LGA was still in limbo. Your response, "A wheelchair....forget it, I'm not waiting" was clearly discriminatory and uncalled for. Your flight left with 2 empty seats while HUNDREDS of people sat trying to rebook on different flights to get home. I can't wait to get someone for JetBlue on the phone today.

So glad Vincent was a trooper....she was SOOOO good. And so glad I took advice of all here and had my extra food, blankets, toys, etc to get us through delays.
