Prefolds in pockets?

I have kind of an odd question..


Can you use prefolds in pocket diapers? I have Alva diapers that I was curious to see if prefolds would work in? Anyone try it?

    I use prefolds in pockets almost exclusively (in fact, I sold off most of our MF inserts because I never used them). Currently, we use our NB prefolds tri-folded and stuffed in our pockets. As DS grows, I'm sure we'll upgrade to larger prefolds (he's still wearing size small pockets), but for now, these work great!

    Yep. We pretty much use only prefolds in our pockets. We are still using Imagine size smalls and have one set of rise snaps left on all our diapers.

    Yup, works great. One of the most absorbent options for sure, though can get a bit bulky.

    Yup. I use prefolds in my Alvas all the time. I also use 2 prefolds stuffed in them as my overnight option. Super bulky but it never leaks no matter how much she rolls.

    Another yes. We tri fold a hemp prefold and stuff it in since the MF ones just don't work for us.

    Yes.  I am short on covers now and really preferring prefolds.  I am just tri-folding them so that the natural fibre is against her skin and then if it is only damp I may re-use it.  I need to buy some more proper covers I guess, but money is a little tight now and I have the pocket covers...
