scary weekend :(

i put DJ down with slight congestion on saturday night, nothing unusual. at 3 am he woke up coughing - sounding like a barking seal. he was crying and couldnt catch his breath. we got him settled down and he fell back to sleep in my arms.

we decided to go to urgent care first thing in the morning. they did some tests and were not happy with his oxygen levels. he had a breathing treatment and they didnt go up. they then sent us to the ER.

at the ER they did some tests, another breathing treatment and determined that he has croup. YUCK! we got some oral steroids at the hospital and some at home suggestions to help.

it is horrible. his cough sounds a bit better but is horrible. i am home with him today and trying to cuddle him as much as possible.

bottom line...croup sucks.
