I guess I need to introduce myself. Was hoping I wouldn't end up here, but I have lurked and found such a supportive group of women.
We tried for 3 years to get pregnant and finally did IVF. We transferred 2 embryos and ended up with twins. Due to my age, IVF, and multiples, I was considered high risk on paper and started seeing a MFM. Kiddos look good and are growing on target. I am not gaining enough weight, but it's nothing terrible yet.
However, my cervix has measured at 2.9, 3.1, and 2.7 since May. We had talked about a cerclage at my first MFM visit (12ish weeks) and she does not do them in the case of multiples. In my most recent visit last week, there is some slight funnelling as well. I was immediately put on progesterone supplements, given steroid shots, and ordered to do modified bedrest. I go back on Wednesday to see if it has stopped.
I will be 24 weeks tomorrow and am really hoping to get some good news. I know there are so many strong women on here who have dealt with so much more. I just wish I could relax and enjoy my pregnancy.
Re: Introduction
Sorry you are dealing with this difficult situation. I also needed help conceiving and know the feeling of just wanting to enjoy your pregnancy. I have alot of friends who are currently expecting and get jealous that they are able to enjoy their summer and run and jump while I am stuck to a bed praying my body doesn't give up on me.
My best advice is listen to your drs orders and your body. Don't be afraid to call your dr any time if something just doesn't feel right. This board has alot of supportive woman going through similar situations.
Best wishes and pray those little ones keep cooking!!!!
