how long would you wait?

I'm 5 days late which is fairly unusual. I'm pretty regular on a 29 to 30 day cycle. I've taken 2 dollar store tests, both negative.

How long would you wait before taking further action, i.e. peeing on a bunch of sticks, calling the doc, etc. I'm going stir crazy, lol

This has happened to me before and I usually have a regular 28 day cycle. Sometimes you're just wonky. Keep testing and if you don't get your period or a positive hpt in 60 days, call your doctor and they can give you something to jumpstart your AF.

Why? Last cycle I didn't ovulate until CD40. If I hadn't been charting I probably would've felt the same as the OP and going to the doctor would've been a complete waste of time.

I'd wait it out for a few more days. Could be you're just having a random long cycle. There's no reason to call your doctor at this point, if the tests are negative.

You are regular until you are not. You might have Oed later. Do you temp? That will help you to know when you do. Test weekly if nothing by 60 days then call Dr.

General rule of thumb is to test once a week until you either get your period or a positive pregnancy test, until you hit 60 days since your last period. If you hit 60 days, call your doctor and they can help you jumpstart your period with Provera.

All of this. I have fairly consistent cycle lengths, 31-34 days....then I randomly had a 50 day cycle. It happens.

I am right there with you! We've been trying since April and I am currently late. I have prematurely tested the past couple months but I am waiting till the wknd to test just in case it shows up negative.

With LO#2 I was late on Halloween and didn't get a positive test till 10 days after. I felt like I was going crazy waiting. Trying to be patient this time. Plus we are going on trip with friends this wknd and I feel like if we test before we leave we will be apt to tell and not keep it a secret.

Alright, despite the fear of being flamed.....

I have always had very regular cycles. I should have started mid June and never did. I kept getting negative tests.

So, I called my doctor which is on base and I went in and got a blood test which was negative. I know a lot of people don't agree with that. I waited a month and a half before doing that though.

I have an appointment next week to talk to me doctor about my cycle.

Last cycle I was 6 days late (I am never late. So, this was weird). I was testing almost every day using dollar store tests and then I finally caved and went in for a blood test because my insurance covers it and the lab is in the same building I work. My main reason for getting a blood test was because I work in a hazardous environment and needed to know as soon as possible. Of course, AF came the next day.
