Hand, Foot and Mouth

Has your little one had it?  Daycare just called and they think he has it. H is going to pick him up.

Re: Hand, Foot and Mouth

  • it's very common, and very contagious.  I've known of parents to catch it too, so be careful.  Sometimes doctors just call any unknown virus with a fever hand foot and mouth, but if daycare thinks that's what he has, he probably has blisters.  DD1 had them on her hands and feet, but never in her mouth.  DD2 has never had it.

Oh, so sorry to hear that.  DS2 had it about a month ago.  It was miserable for him.  He kept nursing, but refused his solids.  I finally bought him some coconut milk ice cream and gave him a few bites when he seemed particularly fussy.  He loved it.  I don't know that it actually made his sores feel better, but I like to think it did!

    Speedy healing to him!

  • Thanks everybody.  H took him to the doctor and they don't think that's what it is.  HHe has no fever.  They think it is a combo of heat rash, bug bites and possibly some sort of reaction to the sand b/c we were at the beach yesterday.  My H has little bumps on his feet too, could have been little bugs in the sand, lovely.
