baby formal wear?

Hi all,

My DH and I were invited to a late afternoon/evening wedding in NYC in August. We will be bringing along our eight month old twins (a boy and a girl). Any suggestions for where to buy formal clothing for the babies (particularly boys)? I've seen a few dresses for DD, but am having a lot of trouble finding an outfit for DS.

So far we've looked at Carter's, Baby Gap, Janie and Jack, and Babies 'R' Us. Janie and Jack was the only place that had formal outfits for boys, but they were crazy expensive ($100+).

    Have you tried jc penny? They have some great baby stuff and they aren't outrageously expensive.

    I've seen some baby suits and dresses at Burlington.

    What about Kohl's?  

    I love Janie and Jack (despite the fact that I can't afford it haha)... Have you looked on the sale page there?  I'm not sure how formal you want to go, but there are some cute things that aren't $100 :)

    Too bad you didn't know about it around Easter time. I have actually got a new with tags infant suit at Salvation Army. It wouldn't hurt to look at some thrift stores.

    We're in a similar boat -- both of my son's aunts are getting married in August and he's attending both weddings.  He's also just about 8 months.  I feel like he's too old for the tuxedo onesie but too young for a suit! (?)

    I opted for some dressy-type things from the sale rack at Janie and Jack but not a suit.  Hoping it will be okay!

    We got a small suit-type outfit with vest, button shirt, bow tie and pants from JCPenney when we had to attend a formal event. Good luck. :)
