I think its been a while since I introduced myself and since my situation has changed thought I'd re-intro...

I am pregnant 31+2 weeks today with a baby boy conceived via IVF. Been a long road to this pregnancy that I won't get into (details in siggy I think). Given my challenges getting pregnant I've had previous cervical issues that caused me to be considered high risk from day 1. Cervix has been fairly steady throughout the pregnancy. At 16 weeks I was diagnosed with complete placenta previa. No bed rest, only pelvic rest. At 26 weeks a routine cervix check at the MFM showed funneling and only 1.1cm closed. Steroids, progesterone, ibuprofen were prescribed and limited activity at home over the weekend...cervix closed back up!

Then last Friday I was at work and had a massive bleed due to the previa. I was admitted to the hospital and was extremely close to delivering. But fortunately things stopped with mega doses of magnesium sulfate and other drugs. I'm now on hospital bedrest for the next week and will re-evaluate the plan later in the week. I've been stable for a while now, with no significant bleeding, just minor spotting. No continued contractions either. Baby has been looking good throughout all of this.

    Welcome!

    That is quite a lot to go through. I hope that your bleeding and contractions stop completely soon!

    I also have a complete previa. I was diagnosed with it at 18 weeks. I was on pelvic rest only. I had a bleeding episode on June 27th, and spent the night in the hospital, and got the 2 doses of the beta shot. I have been on bed rest at home since then. I had a second bleed on July 11th. I am home, but my ob was on vaca then, and informed me that he would have had me stay in the hospital. If I do have another bleed before 34 weeks I will have to be on HBR. I am 29 +1 weeks (29 +5 according to docs office, they go by my LMP, I go by charting and u/s)
