I don't know the cost of the test. But it is a blood test that looks for genetic abnormalities. You can also find out the gender of the baby when you have this test done.
It is a simple blood test and it looks for the 3 main trisomies as well as some other sex chromosomal abnormalities. It is only supposed to be offered if you're considered at a higher risk for these conditions, like if you're over 35.
If your insurance doesn't cover, the cash price is around 200 or 250 dollars.
This. I was told if your insurance doesn't cover it, even though the test is around $1500, the company will only charge you $200-$250 to cover the bill.
If you can, go see a genetic counselor (your OB should be able to recommend one), and they will help go over all of the options with you and costs based on your risk and insurance.

It is a blood test that does what an ammio does, but much less invasive and zero risk to baby. The NT scan takes the measurement of the serum in the back of the neck, but can only determine your risk, not confirm anything for sure. With the Mat21, the lab soecifically looks at fetal DNA in the mom's blood and its chromosomal makeup. I called the company and got a quote of 200. The genetic counselor has to order the test! I am anxious to receive my results!

all of the info is here. If you need more info, their customer service line is very helpful.
Basically takes the place of an Amnio or CVS
