Cloth Diapering

snappies, wetbags and buttcream

Hi ladies,

To finish up my newborn stash I need to buy snappies, wetbags and cd-safe cream. The question is what website would you recommend? I think I'd rather just have one order/shipping fee. Wetbag brands? # of wet bags? (I already have pail liners).

Thank you all so much for all the advice you've already given me.

  • Maybe someone can bak me up. I've heard really good things about using coconut oil instead of diaper rash creams. I was thinking of trying it instead of buying or registering for creams.

  • I usually order from Kelly's Closet. Shipping is free over $50 and they sometimes have a coupon code for free shipping with a $30 order.

We use planetwise wet bags but I haven't tried anything else. I have two large ones for use at daycare and two medium ones that I rotate in the diaper bag.

We like CJs butter in the stick form. It's nice to be able to apply it without getting it all over your fingers.

Lots of people do use coconut oil and love it.

  • I order from Diaper Junction, you get stach cash with every order and they have free shipping over $49. I have one medium Bummis wetbag, its been a while but I think it holds roughly 5 diapers? And one small PlanetWise, holds one, maybe 2 if you really squish them in. I like the PlanetWise wetbag better because it has an outer and inner layer. The Bummis only has one and it more likely to be damp on the outside if theres something really wet in there.  I recommend having at least three wetbags. And I used California Baby on DS, but I think I will try the CJ's butter stick, I can see how a stick would be a lot less messy.
