Re: MoMs to be check in!

  • Wallace lots of thoughts and prayers for all four of you. It's got to be a scary time.

Nothing new here. Appt tomorrow and ultrasound on Friday. Hoping to see Baby B's other kidney but praying that the one kidney that was seen is healthy.

QOTW: The boys will share a crib until they can't any longer. Then we may have them bed share with us, but we are very flexible.

Good morning!  Nothing too new here.  Still not sure if I've felt them move, but I'm not concerned as I've seen them bouncing around whenever we've had an ultrasound.  We go in on the 30th for our 20 week and will find out for sure what we're having then.  Dealing with hormones/depression lately, which is awful but I'll get through it.

QOTW: they'll share a crib until they start moving around, then will get their own cribs in the nursery, which is directly next to our bedroom.

  • Our team green di/di twins are here!! I'm so in love!! It's a girl and a boy!! Oh I loved the surprise!!

Went in to get cerclage removed at 36 and 3. Immediately dilated to a 4 and 90 . Walked around town to try to get things going. No change at recheck. No contravtions. Stayed in a hotel. Contractions started at 12.30 AM and they were born naturally 3 hours and 3 hours and 20 minutes later! At 36 and 4.

Everly Clare, 5lbs 4oz and 19 inches long.
Gibson William, 5lbs 10oz and 20 inches long.
Both came straight to my chest and Apgars were done in daddy's arms! No nicu or nursery. :

I remember being so glad on the drive home there was two. Going through all that for one surprise seemed anticlimactic! Lol
::I realize one baby is awesome, I'm just so glad and super blessed we get TWO!!::

Best wishes to all of you!!

Update: We've made it to 28 weeks. We now have a 34% discordance and B's abdomen is measuring in the 2nd percentile, so we're obviously worried about him. Hoping he keeps growing and can stay put as long as possible. I'm hoping they'll go ahead and do steroid shots this week, they've been hesitant because I have GD and apparently it can mess with blood sugar. My levels have been great though so I'm going to push for the steroids, I want to do whatever I can to help B grow!

My thoughts are with everyone else having difficulties.

QOTW: We don't have a real plan for this. I have a PNP and one RNP, we'll probably try them both in the PNP at first and see how it goes. If necessary, we'll get another RNP.

  • 26 weeks tomorrow - not too much new to report - things are still going well. OB appt this past Friday was good, we talked a little about labor and delivery which put me at ease a little. Next u/s is this Friday to check growth, cervix and that stubborn SCH. Lots of movement going on too.

QOTW: They will sleep in bassinets (each in their own) next to our bed until they outgrow them and then into their own cribs in the nursery. We did the same for DS.

  • Thoughts and prayers to everyone having difficulty.

I'm 18w1d today. I have my anatomy scan on Thursday. It will be with my MFM, who I haven't yet met. Our tech guessed two girls at out 16w5d appt. and were hoping the MFM will confirm this. Of course that they both are perfectly healthy as well.

QOTW: Thanks to all your recommendations, I think we'll get two RnPs and they'll sleep in our room. Once they get bigger we'll transition them to their own cribs in the nursery.

  • Not much new here to report on. My doctor told me I need to stay off my feet a bit more but I find that hard to do with 2 other kids in the house. Haha. Other than that, I finally get to see my boys on Thursday. The first time Ive seen them in 12 weeks. Im just praying that all is well with them and that they are growing as they should.

QOTW: Our plans are sharing a pnp in our room until they are sttn. At that point, we will switch to a crib in their older brothers room until they are ready to be seperated and then one will be moved into his older sisters room for the time being until our addition is put on. The twins will share a room when we finally have the addition and the older two will have their own rooms again.
  • I have my first appt today with my new doctor and really hoping we get an ultrasound because it's been over a month since I've seen my babies and that's just too long for me.

QOTW: separate bassinets next to my bed for the first few months and then separate cribs in the same room after that.

  • Hi, I'm due December 18 with fraternal twin girls. So far so good but I've had an extremely sick pregnancy with several picc lines, meds, and hospital
Stays. I'm currently only on Reglan now and no Picc line, but I'm still down 14 lbs since getting pregnant

QOTW: twins will sleep in a pnp next to us until they are sttn, then cribs in their room

Sending lots of Ts & Ps to those that need them!

Congrats to those who have outside babies now!!

As for us, everything is going great.  The babies will be 1 month tomorrow!! Its amazing how quickly time has flown and how much they have changed since we brought them home.  Its awesome seeing personalities and facial expressions too!!

QOTW:  Before they were here we were gifted a co-sleeper and have used that on and off throughout the month.  We also have mamaroo swings that they have a love/hate relationship with.  Whatever works that night is what we do.  The goal is however, to shift them into their cribs around 3 months.

Hi I'm new to the check-in. I'm still pretty early (7w2d) and I'm not having many symptoms yet, which alarms me! I have a 3rd ultrasound tomorrow. I heard heartbeats at last ultrasound a week ago. My due date is March 7 although twins will likely come sooner. Di/di twins
  • 31w1d. Nothing new to report. Just got back from the OB and everything looks good! They are supposed to call me today to schedule my csection for 38ish weeks but the dr doesn't think I'll make it that far.

I go to the MFM tomorrow. That's the appointment I look forward to since I get to see the babies.

QOTW: Our plan is for them to sleep in the RNPs in our room for the first couple months then move them in their cribs. Not sure if they will sleep together or separately in their cribs. We'll play that by ear.

  • I am feeling really good. Really showing now and getting asked by people outright which is nice. I haven't had any red bleeding in 5 days and am spotting very light brown and very lightly. So I am hoping to get taken off of pelvic rest at my appointment on Thursday. Fingers crossed!

They will be in the nursery in their own cribs. Luckily our nursery is next door to our bedroom so I won't have to travel very far.

  • 18w3d.

All going well for the most part.  A bit achy in my back and hips starting last week. Dr. gave me permission to start yoga and to get a prenatal massage. Yippee!

We have anatomy scan on Friday. Went for our hospital tour yesterday and started looking at cribs this weekend.

Thinking babies will be in RNPs in our room for a few weeks and then they will be in their own cribs in their bedroom.

  • Thoughts and prayers for those of you having complications!

I'm almost 28 weeks and completely exhausted!! The baby's are looking great and growing consistant with each other.
I have been feeling uncomfortable and can't seem to get enough sleep! What's even more frustrating is I'm outgrowing my maternity clothes, I don't want to purchase more because I'm nearing the end and this will be my last pregnancy, so I'm wearing yoga pants to work!

I pan on keeping the baby's in our room in RNPs and then on to their own cribs.
  • Hi all! I had a good NT scan today and am awaiting harmony results. I went to the ER on Friday with heavy red bleeding which was an SCH. It seems to be getting smaller already and mfm is not concerned. Taking it easy and only going into work for 2 days this week to allow myself to rest as much as possible.

QOTW: we haven't really talked about this but space in our room is limited and can't fit a cosleeper so I am assuming they will just go straight into their cribs. Originally I was thinking of sharing a crib but am rethinking that also. I am just so hesitant to start thinking about what we will do when they are here until we make it to 24 weeks. Halfway there though!

  • Good luck to all of you who are having complications - my heart goes out to you.

I'm at 26 weeks with mo/di girls.  Not having such a great week so far. Babies seem fine but I am in a lot of pain and discomfort. I've had a lot of pelvic pain the last few weeks which makes it really difficult to move.  Saturday I started having really bad back pain as well.  I can't find anything to help it.  It hurts to sit, stand, lie down.  I've tried massage, heat, tylonol.  Also, DH just left for a week long work trip, so I'm fending for myself this week.  I've got about 10 or 11 more weeks and sometimes that seems like its right around the corner, but on days like this it seems like an eternity.  I don't know how I can stand 2 more months with all this pain.

QOTW: We got 2 RnPs and we also have 1 crib for now.  I think we'll try both and see how they work out.  I will be sleeping in the nursery in the very beginning and we'll try sharing the crib but if that doesn't work out we have the RnPs we can use.

  • I'm 37 weeks today! Ay aye ay am I in pain. I woke up last night screaming in pain because I could have sworn that baby a did jumping jacks inutero. I have an MFM appointment in an hour for my biophysical and NST and another on Thursday. I'm scheduled to meet my babies next Tuesday by c-section if I can manage to not go into labor before then.

  • Babies doing great - saw them this morning, they were sleeping for once, instead of kicking the crap out of each other :)

My due date got moved, permanently, to January 23. So delivery around Jan 9th I suppose.

We live in a condo in Los Angeles so babies will have to share a small second bedroom. I am going to get them some mini cribs that turn into single beds. We hope to move to a house in the next few years, but here in L.A. there is no guarantee that that will be any bigger! Our condo is 1300 sq feet which is huge compared to the houses, but no yard which seems sad.  I'd love to let them have their own rooms!

  • Update:  23 weeks 6 days today.  We went on a three week vacation overseas that we had planned for over a year and I was a nervous wreck the entire time.  I grew significantly during that time and it was terrible not having access to medical care.  My cervix has been fluctuating between 2.7 and 3.2 and measured 2.7 right before our trip.  I just could not relax on our trip and was feeling so big and couldn't walk around much.  I had a MFM appt last Tuesday after we got back and my cervix was still 2.7, but had some funneling.  They put me on modified bed rest with steroid shots and progesterone supplements.  I go back on Wednesday to see if the funneling has stopped.

QOTW:  I have been putting off doing any registering or preparing until we hit 24 weeks.  Based on advice here, we will do two RNPs in our room for a while.  When they start sleeping through the night, we'll transition them to their nursery upstairs.

  • My prayers to those going thru difficult times lets be positive sending my love to all of you...

3 months mark this week yay! I wish I could figure out how to post a picture here so you all can see the announcement! Still feeling nauseas and sick most of the day... Im wearing maternity clothes already! Still trying to figure out where to find a side by side stroller carseat combo im between Bumbleride Indie Twin and Mountain Buggy. Next visit is august 2 but i have to go for a Renal Ultrasound tomorrow morning because Women with Bicornuate Uterus tend to have kidney problems... But im sure im ok... Cant wait to know what im having im so excited i want to start babies room now lol

    QOTW

we are getting a twin bassinet for when they are born then they will share a room with two cribs that convert into full size we hope to be out of our complex by the time they are 4 or 5 and get a house so they can have their own room!

  • Thought and prayers for those having complications.

    16w 4d

We have our anatomy scan this Friday and I'm so excited!! They will also do the Quad Screen on Friday. I'm having a lot of RLP and back pain, but my nausea is starting to decrease. I can finally eat again!

QOTW: The babies will sleep in RNP in our room for the first few months and then move to the nursery.

  • We were team green and delivered fraternal twin girls on 7/7/13.  Both girls are still in the NICU but it is looking like Twin B will come home on Wednesday.  We are super excited and saddened at the same time; did not want the girls to be split up.  Twin A needs to gain some more weight and take less of her feedings from the gavage tube before they'll consider sending her home.
    Lilypie - (4vrz)

  • Congrats to all those with outside babies! And thoughts and prayers for those who are dealing with complications right now.

We had our a/s last Thursday. Both babies are doing great! And we found out we are team blue x2! DH and I had to laugh about that. Once the twins are born, with DS #1 we will have three boys less than two years apart. Crazy but exciting. :)

QOTW: Right now we have one pack and play, so probably they will start out together in our room. I'm thinking that we'll separate them into their own cribs once they move out of our room, but we'll probably play it by ear.

25w3d. I had my follow up appointment with the MFM this morning. Babies are growing well. Baby A is measuring 26 weeks and baby B is 25w3d. Both weigh 1 lb 14 oz, so they are just under average size for babies their age. The tech got a picture of the baby girl yawning. It's so cute.

QOTW: I'm struggling with this, but I think the twin PnP with bassinets. It has mixed reviews on Amazon, but I love the idea. That would be in our bedroom until they transition to their cribs in the nursery.

  • We have our c section/ maybe induction scheduled for 8/9! I can't believe they are almost here! I am having identical girls... No complications and all has been well. I was pretty terrified about this twin pregnancy thing but it can go well! If only I could have ditched the morning sickness... :oP

I am finally starting to feel a bit better and haven't puked in a couple days, so that is really encouraging. I have a MFM appointment tomorrow and will hopefully find out if we are having boy/boy or boy/girl twins (Mat 21 test detected a Y chromosome so we know at least one is a boy). Also, can't wait until I can feel flutters.

QOTW: planning on having them sleep in RNP's by our bed for a few months and them moving them to their cribs in their shared nursery. Will probably put them in separate rooms after a year or so.
    BFP #1 on 12/15/11 but missed m/c with d&c on 2/1/12.
BFP #2 on 5/1/13 = boy/girl TWINS with EDD of 1/3/14 but expected no later than 12/20/13.
  • Updates:

Nothing new to report. Still battling nervousness/anxiety as we approach 38 weeks. I really wish I could get back to the excited phase I was in - I honestly feel bad about how scared I am to take them home. It's like I'm being a bad mom or something for worrying so much, but then again, having twins is intense. I just don't want it to get worse when they come. I'm keeping a close eye and talking to a counselor so in the event it does get worse we can address it. My husband is my rock - very grateful for his support!

The girls are doing great... growing on track and looking like they're not coming out any time soon. I'm hoping baby B will turn from transverse to head down before we deliver. Baby A is head down and in position. I sooo want a vaginal delivery if we can, I'm just worried Baby B won't cooperate and we'll end up with the double whammy! Eeek!

Hi all!  It has been a while since I updated, but I have been mostly mobile bumping, and it is difficult I think!

I have another appt. with my MFM doctor tomorrow to check that the girls are still doing well. I will officially transfer to him permanently after tomorrow, now that that are pretty sure they are mo/mo. I can't wait until tomorrow gets here, so I can see them and know they are OK. I went last week to regular OB and my cervix is good and I am wainting for an early Gestational Diab. check to get back from the lab.

What will your twins sleeping arrangements be after they are born? Do you have plans to change this as they grow?   The plan is to have bassinets in our room until about 3 months, and then transfer to their nursery. Do twins like to sleep together at the beginning? Should I get 1 bassinet big enough for both or seperate them? I have no idea!  They will each have their own crib.
