rolling over ughh

my son figured out how to roll over and now he does it instantly when you put him on his back. he does this all night long and wakes himself uo and cries in the middle of the night. im exhausted.. will he have more control over this or will he continue to wake himself up all night long.. any siggestions on what to do to help this?

    It will get better once he's used to sleeping on his stomach. Let him fuss a few minutes before responding.

    I am having this same exact problem. I haven't slept the last two nights. He was sleeping in his crib but is now back in the PnP next to our bed so I can just reach over and flip him. So frustrating!

    DD has only rolled over once so far and woke me up crying.  It makes me paranoid because I'm afraid I won't hear her and she'll suffocate herself.  Probably just being a paranoid first time mommy but I can't help it.

    DD did this the first couple nights she was out of the RNP, but now it doesn't seem to wake her up. She still rolls onto her side/stomach a lot, but usually stays asleep now.

    My LO does the same thing if I put her on a flat surface. I just transitioned from RNP to crib so the mattress is at an incline and I put a towel under the sheet to create a "U" that sorta holds her in and feels like RNP. She can still roll on her side, but probably not do a total flip.

    Hah, my son also started doing this three nights ago. He had me up all last night paranoid, reaching over to flip him like a pancake several times. He does this scratching motion with his hands on the crib that is so loud (he sleeps in the 4Moms Breeze right next to my bed). I'm pretty sure he is too tired to figure out how to roll back over to his back.

    I had the same problem when my LO learned to roll over. She was STTN before, then It was impossible to keep this kid on her back, and to make things worse she had a cold. It took about 7 to 10 days for her to figure out how to lay her head to breathe properly while tummy sleeping. Until then I only got one to two hours of sleep a night because she would constantly wake up from face planting in the mattress. It will pass, it will just suck until its over and there's not anything you can do. Trying to prevent rolling with positioners is too dangerous. I was worried too, but if they aren't getting enough air they will wake up and cry. Then soon they will be able to adjust themself.
