I have posted before about R's GI issues. She has FPIES, so basically about 3 hours after eating a trigger food, she has a reaction that resembles the stomach flu (vomiting every 10-30 minutes, diarrhea, lethargy, signs of dehydration) and doesn't let up for about 10 hours. Only problem is there is no way to test for what foods will bother her, it is different from an allergy.
So far she can't have rice, oatmeal, avocado, sweet potato, mango, and banana, on top of her MSPI. It is just so limiting, but thankfully it is something she should outgrow by 3.
All of this to say, we started eggs today and I am so nervous ![]()

Re: Waiting...
Oh my. Good luck with the egg. I really hope it's not a trigger. That sounds really worrying, but well done for trying new things. I'm sure it would be easy to stick to foods you know wouldn't cause a reaction.
Let us know how it goes.
Yeah, it definitely is easy to do foods I know she has had before haha... I realized we hadn't done a new food in a couple weeks.
It's been 3 hours now! So far no problems!!
Oh man-- that is scary!! Thanks for the website, I will look on there!
Looks like we are in the clear for eggs!
Yay! Eggs are so versatile and full of protein (and yummy) so they are good to have on your "allowed" list.
I'm very glad she didn't have a reaction. That must be such a relief!
...but did she like them?
