High-Risk Pregnancy

Random GD question.

So today I have just been soooo exhausted, and I slept in, ate my breakfast maybe an hour or 2 past my usually time, then I took a nap and missed my usual snack time, so of course my entire day of meals is put off track... I've been trying so hard to keep on a good schedule, and since I wasn't able to get any new testing strips, until tomorrow, I'm basically wondering will this affect my glucose levels?!

I haven't been able to test anything but my ketones for the last 2 and a half days, and its making me very very paranoid, and now having a day of pure exhaustion makes me even more paranoid. I just felt like I really really needed to sleep all morning and that was normal for me before finding out I had GD.. Just really hoping it won't throw my glucose off.

Re: Random GD question.

  • I have days where I just want to sleep in but I'll get up and eat breakfast and go back to sleep until it's time to test and have a snack and if I'm still tired I'll go back to sleep so I'm not going too long without eating anything. if I go too long without eating I have lower numbers throughout the day it seems so I just eat a little more for my snacks... but without testing strips I wouldn't do anything out of what you normally do.

  • What I understood about eating at regular intervals was to avoid producing ketones.
