It's a lazy night here for us as far as food goes...pizzas and wings. What 's everyone having?  Make me jealous! Lol

    Wings sound amazing right now!  Not sure what we are having, DH will be off from work soon but I don't have anything planned for dinner. Maybe we will order in.

    Our state fair is in town so we had a wide assortment of junk food. Corn dogs, turkey legs, taco in a bag, cookies, Bavarian almonds, kettle corn. Mmmm!

    Well, I was made aware today is National Ice Cream Day. Naturally, I had a small dinner and H and I headed out for waffle cones.

    I made bangers and mash.

    Except they weren't really bangers, because you can't really find those here. So it was really mild Italian sausage. It worked.

    Served over homemade mashed potatoes with peas and onions, topped with gravy.

    It was easy and good!

     

    Except Hubs had the nerve to say, "Mmmm, instant mashed potatoes." I could have killed him. I slaved over a stove for you, and no, these don't taste like instant! Instant tastes like cardboard!!

    On Sundays, DH usually grills chicken. I buy organic chicken breasts at Costco, and he makes them all tonight so we can have chicken for lunch during the week. He's grilling now. Probably just have broccoli for the veggie. Pizza and wings sounds perfect right now, though!
