Recommendations for an RE?

Hi ladies,

I had a miscarriage last year, and my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant again for the last 7 months without any success. My OB/GYN did some blood work and a sono this month. The blood work came back normal, but the sono showed that I have "kissing ovaries," meaning that my ovaries are basically "stuck together" behind my uterus. My doctor thinks this indicates endometriosis, and suggested a diagnostic scope and an test to make sure my tubes are open.

I really like my doctor, but he's pretty young and infertility isn't really his speciality, so I'm considering doing a consult with an RE before I have the procedures. So, long story short, I'm looking for some recommendations for a good RE in the western part of the metroplex (Denton, Fort Worth, mid-cities). Any suggestions?

I met with Dr Kevin Doody for a different reason but I liked him. There are several other drs at this practice, the rest female, you may want to look into. GL!

  • I have kissing ovaries too. Isn't that just so sweet? lol

My GYN diagnosed me and did the surgery. It started out as a laparoscopy and ended up in a laparotomy since it was such a mess in there. Anyway, I shared that because my RE looked at the surgical report and said my GYN did an amazing job and he was impressed that I have ovarian function at all as bad as it was in there. So, if you want a GYN to do the surgery I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Robert Zwernemann (https://www.doctorzobgyn.com/). I also love my RE and his name is Dr. Robert Kaufmann (https://www.fwivf.com/) and the other dr in his office is amazing too. Her name is Dr. Linda Elkins.
