Volunteer Doula Gift

At our hospital when we arrive we can request a free volunteer doula, and if one is available they will come and help with my labor.  We will be doing this and I want to have a thank you gift on hand for the doula if one is available.  Would a nice thank you note and a $50 Target gift card be sufficient?  

My midwife said there's only been 1 or 2 incidents in her experience where a doula was requested and then wasn't available- so I'm really hoping it works out :-)

    I am so jealous! That sounds like an amazing service! I think a gift card would be great idea. Another option I have been thinking about it puting together gift baskets for the nurses in LD and PP wing. I was thinking of filling with all kinds of food and snacks.
