Hi ladies,
May I join you? I've debated for many months about posting here, but since I was in bench mode and not actively TTC, I felt a little like a fraud. But now that I've been on the board for a while and seen wave after wave of TTCALers graduate, I feel like I need you guys and identify most with those that have been dealing with this crap for a long time. I'm always so insanely happy for our graduates--I love those ladies--but this latest wave has been kind of rough (particularly as it comes up on my second EDD). And, like buggirl's thread below, while I am thrilled for them, the realization that folks that you were on TTCAL have graduated on to PAL is sobering.
For those of you that don't know me, my fiance and I have been trying to conceive our first since February 2012. We had a MMC early on and once we recovered from that one, it took us 6 months to get BFP #2. Unfortunately, BFP #2 turned out to be a complete molar pregnancy and I was benched for a minimum of 6 months. During that time I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism (likely to progress to Hashimoto's given that I have both thyroid antibodies) and diminished ovarian reserve (DOR). Given that I am also AMA, I've got a trifecta of fertility not-so-awesomeness going on.
My RE has tentatively called me off the bench, pending my thyroid cooperating, and it is looking like I am going to be actively TTC again very soon. It is also looking like we may be going straight to some aggressive infertility treatments, but we're still trying to sort all that out. Anyway, hoping I can join you ladies and lend my support over here as well as on the main board. It sucks being in this for a longass haul and I'm sorry any of us are here.
Re: May I come over to this side?
Welcome and ((((hugs))))
I'm glad your RE is willing to pull you off the bench and FX that your thyroid starts behaving.
