Inlaws. Love them but...

...they really need to stop hogging the baby and keeping her on my parents' babysitting days. They watch her on M-W-F and my parents see her on T-Th and an occasional Sat. Because of logistics, Fifi is dropped off at their house and my mom picks her up from there or they bring her to my parents house on T and Th, however there are frequent days that they give a reason why they are keeping her. Some of the reasons are really legit but even on those days they really should ask if it's okay to keep her rather than dictate. Hubby is not confrontational and I don't think it's my place to say something to them. He knows how I feel and it annoys him too. I appreciate that my daughter is very loved by them but I really want her to have more time bonding with my parents and nephew (who is 2, absolutely adores her and is currently living at my parents). I don't think I am being unreasonable. So annoying!

Thanks for letting me mini-vent. Oh, incidentally, they tried to get her for today and I lied that I didn't have any clients in my schedule while hubby is at work so we didn't need babysitting. Devil

  • Sounds like they love her lots but I agree I'd be annoyed

  • I'd be super annoyed.  I also do think it's your place to say something.  You're her mother, you have a say in who watches her, you dictate the schedule, not them. I'd definitely say something.  If they don't respond to that, then have your husband step in.  GL!
