Biological mother refusing to give ss meds

While they were on their 10 day visitation with her, she even threw away some of his pills!  Her explanation, she wanted to experiment !

anyone want to predict the outcome of the contempt hearing next month.

1.  Owes over $12k in child support, in spite of verbally agreeing to the judge in may to a payment plan has since refused to sign said plan and has stated she has no intention to oay

2.  Has not once gotten the children home on time from her visitation, is always 3.5 to 4 hours late, with no phone calls or explanation except that WE live too far

3.  Refusal to give the boy his prescribed medication

Re: Biological mother refusing to give ss meds

  • I don't know about the outcome but abruptly stopping a medication like that can be seriously harmful and sometimes have life lasting effects! That was not a very smart thing to do :(

I let my DS stay with my mom for a week at the beginning of summer and she refused to give him his meds for ADD and he became very angry child and would sometimes explode at the drop of a hat.. very bad mood swings. It's not so much now but It still comes out sometimes.

I really hope it didn't harm your SS.

he seems fine, he has a dr appt this week and we will discuss then
  • Well that's good. It still won't look good for her in court. SD2 takes a daily med for constipation and BM didn't give it to her when SD stayed the night.

  • BD has never agreed to give DD her meds so she never takes them on his time. However her meds are ADHD meds only and not detrimental for her to skip doses. If I remember correctly, your SS has bipolar as well? Those meds should not be stopped suddenly and I would definitely make sure you get that re-addressed in court. Haven't you had this problem with her before?

  • Yes we have but she has never thrown them away before and told him to lie about it

I understand that. I was just trying to make sure you were the one I was thinking of. Has that been brought up in court before? If so, what did they say if anything?
