I always pictured 2 or 4 kids. . .

My five year old son is starting kindergarten in the fall and is absolutely sweet, smart, and fun.  The identical twin girls are almost 8 months, starting to crawl, getting teeth and really fun.  I always pictured myself with 2 or 4 kids, and I have 3 now!  Has anyone had experience with twins in the middle of two singletons?  Should we go for it :) !!

  • If money weren't an issue and I could SAH I would totally have a fourth. I say go for it!

  • I always pictured 2. Then I had twins and loved having kids so much I wanted to try for 1 more. Then I got pregnant with twins again :) Now I LOVE having 4, couldn't imagine it any other way. Go for it!

  • I say if you are thinking about it ... then go for it!! Seriously! It might be hard in the beginning, but I know some people who regret not having more children ... but I've never met someone who, once their kids were older, wished they'd had *less*. :)

We had a singleton before this pregnancy, and are hoping to have more after the twins. Just not right away. ;)

  • Do what is best for your own family. Only you guys can know how many kids you want AND can handle. Whatever you do, do it well. I only wanted one more after my girls (hoped for the chance at a boy, just for the experience) - I came away with two little men for a total of four kids instead of three. It wasn't what we expected or even wanted at the time, but we are extremely happy with the outcome and I would never change it. Whatever you decide, make it the best and most important choice of your life!

  • I grew up as one of four kids and I think it's a great number. :)
Plus I don't know if you saw any of the recent articles, but a recent survey showed that 3 is actually the most stressful number of kids to have and that parents of 4 reported lower levels of stress than parents of 3. So I say go for it ... though if it were me I would wait till the babies are a bit older! I know plenty of people rock 3 under 2 or 3 under 3 but it's a little much for me. ;)
