Hungry DS

Wow. My son is one big eater. He ate right when he was born for about 20 minutes. Then, he ate for 20 minutes maybe an hour after the first feeding. At 1:50 am he ate for an hour and now he is eating again. Wow. He is an eater.
No real point to this.. Just my first time actually be successful at EBF. I feel like I have finally accomplished it. :D only issue, he likes the right boob only.

    Your son needs to talk with mine. Though he nurses well, he is all over the map. I'm engorged half the time due to some of his lighter feedings.

    Lol. Mine woke up, again, at 4:45 to eat and only ate for ten minutes this time and fell asleep. I think he just wants something in his mouth. Whatever the reason, mommy needs sleep. Lol. Hospital room is like an oven and its as low as it'll go, the thermostat.

    Nurse just came in and said that he is using me as his personal pacie. Did not want to have to give him one but looks like I will. Oh well, mommy needs sleep and my boobs are meant for eating lol.

    I am sweating over here. It's so hot!! So tired that I am dizzy. He needs to let me sleep. Lol. I love being his mommy and holding him and feeding him but I can't be his pacie.

    Same thing happened while we were still in the hospital. I was letting DS use me as his paci and tore up my nips. I finally caved in and actually gave him a real paci.

    The hospital doesn't have any? And sometimes DS will take his bottle for maybe 5 mins and then pass out. Kinda the same thing? I'm sure if I had ever been able to latch he would do the same thing. And you definitely need some sleep! Good luck momma!
    they don't keep them anymore. I'm getting one soon.

    Just FYI, the reason a pacifier isn't recommended this early on is because all that sucking is signaling your milk to come in. I know it's rough, and my LO still prefers the human pacifier sometimes [i guess warmth and heart beat and skin contact] but i would wait out a day or two until your milk comes in.....
