Who has a Lucas/Luke?

When we picked Lucas as our son's name I didn't think it was SO popular, but I feel like I have seen it a dozen times on here already. So just wanted a head count. Who here has or is having a Luke/Lucas?

    My 2.5 year old's name is Lucas, Luke for his nn. When we picked it, we didn't know anyone with that name and now its exploded in popularity!

    I don't mind though, we love the name.... It's strong, classic and not trendy. It's hard to find boys' names that are strong and classic, without them being popular.

    We used it for a middle name (Gavin Lucas), but it was in the running for a first name before we decided as well.

    We almost had a Lukas. That's the traditional Finnish spelling. But obviously we went with Isaac.

    I do! Lucas Elliot, and we call him Luke a lot.

    It's a lot higher on the SSA list than I was originally comfortable with, but we couldn't agree on anything else and I didn't want to give up the name we loved just because other people liked it too. If it makes you feel any better, I think it's mostly been holding steady and only climbing very slowly so no signs that it was going to jump to top ten or anything. But you can never really tell.

    ETA: I haven't seen any other Lukes/Lucases in the NICU, and I've seen a lot of babies come and go at this point

    This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! 
    DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
    131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
    We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.

    Our little guy is Lucas and like you, I've been surprised to see how popular it is. Having said that, we didn't really care about popularity when we were deciding on a name. We were just trying to come up with something, ANYTHING we could agree on and Lucas it was : )

    I have a Lucas! I feel like it is a popular name on here but in the hospital and NICU they said they hadn't heard it in awhile and we don't personally know any other Lucas/Lukes
