Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

What age for a backyard camp out?

What age would you say is good to start backyard camp outs?

My DD rarely takes unscheduled naps outside of her crib. In all honestly I have never had to try it any other way but she has never attempted to nap in her stroller or anything like other kids. I can think of once that she took a nap outside of her crib on her own, and it was recently.
Do you think this will screw up her sleeping if its just as a treat every once in a blue moon?

Sorry that is so long, TIA

  • We have only done one vacation and she was much you younger so I am nervous, lol.

So you think 22 months/ 2 years should be old enough to try?

  • You make a good point. My DD is an excellent sleeper, we just haven't had an opportunity to go on the vacation/ activities your family has so it has never really been tested for us.

  • I'm with Lala. Have fun!

My kid is much likes yours. Crib only sleeper, doesn't sleep anywhere else, but sleeps great all around.

A shakeup in her schedule doesn't seem to affect her. She might have a bad night of sleep while we're away, but she's back on track the second we're home.

Never been a big deal and I didn't sleep train either.

That said, you're in your backyard. If it sucks, just go back to bed in your own house!
