Success after IF

4 mo Post Partum Q's

Hi ladies! I'm just past 4 months, stopped BF about 2 months ago, got AF at the end of June, and am deep in the throes of balding, I mean PP hair loss. But for the last week I have a new thing - nausea. It feels so much like morning sickness that I actually took a pregnancy test (BFN, as I suspected, since I would have had to ovulate 6 days early, beat IF, crappy eggs, and a condom, and get morning sickness 12 days before my missed period!) It just feels exactly like that kind of underlying, constant yuck. Is this a dropping hormone thing? Did anyone else get this? TIA! :)

Re: 4 mo Post Partum Q's

  • Yes I am nauseous a lot and still not eating meat similar to my first three to five months pg. I think it's just hormones messing with us!

  • I had a weird digestive thing around 5 mos PP. I think it was maybe from too much Starbucks, since I was so tired, but it could have been something hormonal too. Do you take acidophilus? Try doing that daily and see if it helps.

  • Yes! I had a lot of nausea off and on post-partum. I breastfed until 10 months, but a lot of times the nausea was during feeds. I also get some nausea around the time I ovulate and I never had that before having G. I am pretty positive it's hormones, so I would guess it's the same for you. Our hormones do a lot of crazy things post-partum! I hope it goes away for you soon.

  • Around 4 months is when your hormones bottom out. Hence the ridiculous hair loss. It's also the time PPD is most likely to become severe, for the same hormonal reasons. I didn't have the physical symptoms you're having, but it doesn't surprise me. It should start getting better from this point.
