Knitting/Crocheting/Sewing for baby?

Has anyone started any projects for LO? Now that I am in 2nd trimester, I have started knitting a simple hat. Next up is a baby blanket or a sweater. What is everyone else working on?

I cross stitch. A long time ago I started a pretty big and complicated one of 2 bears sitting on a chair. Always said I would put it in my first child's room. Finished that one last summer and immediately started an alphabet sampler that has animals w each letter. Not sure if I'm gonna finish that one in time though pretty complicated and each letter and animal takes forever. Rawr.

I knit, I have lots of projects that I would like to do for this baby - especially since it will be a winter newborn.

I am currently working on a Debbie Bliss baby blanket - the majority is doine in seed stitch - and then it has a really pretty border you put on at the end. I'm trying to finish the blanket part for my A/S on the 6th - then when I know gender I will do the border in blue or pink.

Here is a pitcture - I'm doing my main colour in ivory and then a pink or blue border

Also - have your checked out Revelry - they have cute baby knitting patterns and a lot are free (hats, booties, blankets, sweaters etc.)

My Mom cross stitches and has done stockings for all of us so she'll do one for our LO at some point.

I knit but it's WAY too hot for that right now so I'm waiting until I get a bit more nest-ish in my second (or even third) trimester. I plan on spending some quality time on the couch knitting blankets, hats, sweaters etc!! (insert geek face here!)

I sew. For DS, my mom and I made his nursery set and plan to do the same this time around. I also made burp cloths. I found some patterns for sleepers so I'm going to try my hand at some this time around.

I'm still in the idea-gathering phase, but am thinking of making some blankets and burp cloths and taking on some kind of romper as a bigger down the line project.

I have one two hats knitted already and one set of booties done. I'm almost done with a blanket. My mom and stepmother are working on projects too. Our LO will be sporting cool knit wear.

Very pretty pattern! I have been browsing baby patterns on ravelry since I got my BFP.

I want to knit or crochet a pink/purple hat for this lo in case she is a girl for when s/he is born. We have a knit hat from ds that we will likely use if we have a boy but I want to have a special one for a girl too.

I would like to make this lo a stocking in case s/he comes early. I have made one for dh and myself and ds so I need to get busy.

Last pregnancy, I made a striped knitted blanket with a cotton backing for my best friend who was pregnant at the same time. But then I ran out of time so my own LO didn't have one when he was born!

This time, I'm going to try to make two - one for current LO and one for new baby...but I need this heat wave to pass and our new air conditioner to arrive - I hate knitting in the heat!!

I'm jealous. I don't know how to do any of that stuff. So I just hire other people to do my sewing projects for me.

I sew. I haven't started yet because I want to know the sex first.

I will be making a blanket, some bibs, burp cloths, possibly some nurser stuff and cloth diapers.

I knit! So far I have knit a hat and matching booties (just waiting on the gender to add the finishing touches) I have a sweater 95% finished and a hooded blanket/wrap that I just started. I am lucky in that I can knit most of the day at work so I have gotten a lot done since I hit the second trimester! I will have to post some pictures later!

I have a list of like 30 things I want to knit this baby. Knitpicks.com is having their summer sale so I just bought more yarn for 3 more projects! (I may have an addiction!)

Edit to add: I am on Ravelry also. I have a bunch of picture of baby stuff I have made for my nieces on there too. My username is Crittersoother if you would like to look or add me!

I was taught to knit, but I do so ver poorly. Instead I will get to pick out a pattern and my mom will make a baby blanket for me.

It would be fun to do an every other week or once a month craft check in so we could share pictures of our projects, patterns we like, or sales on craft stuff we have seen. Just an idea

I like that idea. It would motivate me to get my projects done and I'd like to see what other people make/ get inspiration. I'm not likely to post on the crafty moms board so this would be fun.
