Hi guys. I'm pregnant with my second and have chronic kidney disease. I had it with my first, but most of the pregnancy was pretty normal. I did end up delivering at 36+6 because my kidneys were getting worse, but she was perfect. No NICU, I was OK, etc.
We were planning on doing more things to try to help my kidneys when we got pregnant by surprise (DD was IVF). I had my first appointment with my nephrologist since I got pregnant this time. He says my numbers have gotten worse and there's a greater chance of kidney failure for me, and things like pre-term labor and IUGR for the baby. There's very little I can do but eat well and try to exercise and rest.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation? And if not, if you wouldn't mind sending some positive vibes or prayers my way?
