I really think my hubby and I are going to be in this one and done category... Hubby was not really into having 1 to begin with. Now that one is coming my family is already talking about having the second one and I am like whoa hold the horses.. Everyone.. and I mean everyone I have talked to has said ooo you just wait you will want another one.. but honestly I do not think so. I think we are content with one.. I even joke that hubby will be in next room getting a vasectomy while I am in labor cause he will be freaked out. I am not able to be on birth control because of blood clots that is how I got pregnant the first time. So I am interested in seeing how we will prevent another miracle baby.

Welcome
Condoms, maybe?
Make an appointment with your OB/GYN and discuss long term BC methods (IUD, implant, Essure, possible even tubal ligation or get a referral for a urologist to do a vasectomy).
For most people with blood clotting issues, the prohibitive factor is estrogen. So, you should be able to do a mirena or copper IUD or mini-pill (progesterone only). Talk to your OB about those.
If you're certain you're finished and he's open to it, DH getting a vasectomy is a great option.
Fair warning, it is a long process. DH has his consultation appointment in May but couldn't get in for the procedure until September. From there, he has to provide samples to confirm it was a success.
In other words, you'll need another form of backup, even if you go for the snip.
