19 weeks high risk b/c LEEP and IC

Good Afternoon everyone!! My name is Kat and I am 19 weeks along. This is my second child but first after LEE. I am seeing my regular obgyn and a peri to monitor me closely. I am on bedrest as well to help out my chances. My appt yesterday showed a healthy baby boy!! I am not as happy with my cervix. At 15 weeks I measured 35 mm and yesterday I was down to 30mm. When the tech applied pressure it went to 28mm. The tech and the peri said I am still "normal" but I have read some many horror stories online that I am worried. Today I started feeling intense rectal pressure (but that was done for the day) and pressure is bad. I am going in tomorrow to my obgyn to have them check me out to make sure I am not dilating. Anyone else out there in the LEEP or IC boat??

    Yes and welcome. I'm a little different after having a loss at 18 weeks and a preventative cerclage for this pregnancy. But congrats and high hopes to making it full term.

    2.8 is still considered normal and they will not offer a cerclage until you are 2.5 or below. I really would ask them to keep a close eye on you. I get bi weekly vaginal ultrasoud cervical ck..

    Actually, a preventative cerclage should be offered to women who have had a LEEP procedure. I have IC and had my TAC placed at 10 weeks. I have had a smooth pregnancy. I hope you get frequent cervical scans for length. GL!
