My DD1 (16ish months old) was wandering around the living room tonight and started working on a "toddler project" involving messing something up, and she looked down and saw her prized possessions, bottle and her lovey, just outside the fray.

She looked up at me, picked up both items, and tucked them in my lap for safe keeping. She then patted my knee and returned to her project.

How freakin' cute is that? She was like, "This is going to get dangerous and you guys need safe keeping. Wait, Momma's cool. She can watch my stuff." It totally made me LOL.
