We have a Britax Boulevard 70 CS in our van. We just switched it in and out when DH needed to keep LO and use his truck. Well we need another seat now that LO will be starting preschool this Fall. One for my sister in laws car and for DH's truck. We need a seat that has belt lockoffs like the Britax since DH doesn't have latch and other seats that use the belt just slide back and forth and the seatbelt doesn't lock. He has a 2000 GMC Sierra.
My mom has the first years true fit that has belt lockoffs but my MIL's Complete Air 65 doesn't. Anyone know of anymore seats that have the belt lockoffs?
The seat for my sister in laws car won't matter so I'm looking for a seat around $100 using the latch system in her van.
I'm looking at the Lamaze True Fit C670 and Britax Frontier 85 for DH.... but open to suggestions! Thanks!
Re: Seat with belt lockoffs...britax, lamaze, others????
YOu mean the locking clip, right? From what I've read, I think *most* seats (except Britax brand) come with a locking clip.
We have the Peg Perego and it has a locking clip.

The nextfit is out of te budget I wanted to spend for this seat. He will be riding for 10 miles to preschool with DH basically 3 days a week and that's all we will use it for.
I don't understand why you need a lock off when you can use a locking clip which is just as safe and effective.
I like Britax Frontier and I believe its 25lb minimum weight, but he really should RFing until 2 per AAP recommendation.
You have to be careful with the attached belt "lock offs" because they may be not really be lock-offs but just aides to keep the seat from sliding around the belt path. Such is the case with our Peg convertible seat. If our belt did not have lock-offs in the retraction mechanism, we would have had to use a separate metal locking plate (Peg says to contact customer service for one).
You can find installation manuals for most seats online without having to buy one.
If you must ff a two year old and you have non-locking seatbelts, the Frontier 90 is the best bet to get a correct install, go on the Britax site and watch the install video. By the time you purchase the seat, the 85 is likely to be out of stock.
A good rf option with long ff potential is to get a Graco MySize and rf using a locking clip.
Another good option is the Harmony Defender at Walmart or $100.
As bad as I hate him forward facing, I feel like I can focus better on the road rather than he screaming the entire ride even with him having a tv rf
The frontier 85 is on sale for 180. He was 26lbs at his 16 month check up so I wonder if the roundabout 50 classic would be a good option since I can get 2 for 200 together.
